Workshop at Sharlot Hall Museum

On the first Saturday of every month a group of ladies gather in the Education Building to work on sewing projects, usually with historic origins.

Today there was a bustle dress, a reticule and leather-bound book in the mix.

It's a delightful time beginning at 10:00 a.m. and coordinated by Pattie Conrad, an expert seamstress and museum volunteer for many years.

Hubby Becomes Dumpster Diver

Steve told me he found this old student school desk by the dumpster. He loaded it into the Ford Ranger and brought it home to me. How thoughtful! I love it -- the perfect size for a little house/studio sewing table. Plus it's always fun to have metal things you can stick magnets on.
